Drove to Oxford! It was a bit hairy to start but Jake was brilliant. Arrived-- head is a sculpture at our hotel I love-- and then we went off to see where I lived summer of 1988! They wouldn't let us all the way into the dining hall and such, but it was great to be in the quad.

Walking around, funny attempt at punting for which no photos exist... then to dinner with Silvana (my pen pal from the time I was about 9) and her family, including mother and brother. Really fun. Hilary, Richard (the brother) remembers playing board games with you when they came to America!
